Prishtina, October 14, 2020 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the UN Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues, Miroslav Lajçak, with whom he talked about the latest developments around the dialogue.
President Thaçi has stated that “the dialogue has no alternative” and that this is the only way forward for Kosovo and the entire region.
The head of state said that the dialogue should have only one goal, mutual recognition and Kosovo’s membership in the United Nations.
In this meeting, President Thaçi also spoke about the need for the EU not to be delayed in the approximation processes with the Western Balkans, with special emphasis on the need to lift visas for the citizens of Kosovo as soon as possible.
