Prishtina, September 4, 2020 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the new Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Ambassador Tomáš Szunyog, whom he welcomed to Kosovo and wished him good luck on his new task.
President Thaçi said that Kosovo has only one direction, membership in the European Union, emphasizing the will of the institutions to work tirelessly in this direction.
“Much has been achieved, but much remains to be done”, said President Thaçi.
Ambassador Szunyog expressed his satisfaction with the new task and informed about new EU projects, especially those with an emphasis on overcoming the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
President Thaçi assured Ambassador Szunyog that he will have the full support and cooperation of the institutions of the state of Kosovo in the implementation of projects that bring Kosovo closer to the EU.
