Prishtina, June 6th 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the head of the Kosovo support team of the US Department of Defence, Abigail Robinson, whom he thanked for the years long contribution to the Kosovo Security Force transition process into the Kosovo Army.
This team, according to President Thaçi, had supported the Kosovo Security Force transformation since 2014, after the Strategic Review of the Security Sector.
“Knowing the decisive role that USA has within NATO, we are convinced that Kosovo’s North Atlantic Alliance integration process will be very quick, “stated President Thaçi.
The head of the US Department of Defence Kosovo Support Team, Abigail Robinson, said that it was her honour and privilege to be involved with Kosovo since 1999 and to contribute to Kosovo’s state-building process as well as to the establishment of Kosovo’s security structures.
“I was pleased to be working in Kosovo and for Kosovo during all these years’” said Robinson.
President Thaçi and Robinson said that they were convinced that cooperation between USS DIR and Kosovo Security Force will continue in the future.
