President Thaçi received the Economic Affairs Secretary at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Prishtina, November 6th 2018 – President of the republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today Ioannis Brachos, Secretary General for economic affairs at the Greek MFA and Constantina Athanassiadou, head of Economic Issuers at the Greek MFA, with whom he discussed the cooperation between Kosovo and Greece, with particular emphasis on economic cooperation.

President Thaçi said that Kosovo values the Greek constructive stance towards Kosovo and the support it give sot Kosovo at international organisations.

“We have built good relations with Greece and we are working towards further expansion of the relations”, said President Thaçi.

The head of state welcomed the agreement between Athens and Skopje to the name contest and added that “this is a contribution to the stability in the Balkan region”.

Secretary Brachos said that Greece sees potential in the growth of economic exchange between two countries and is looking for opportunities to expand the cooperation and economic exchange”.

President Thaçi welcomes the engagements of Secretary Brachos and pointed out that Kosovo remains dedicated to the achievement of peace settlement and long term stability in Kosovo and in the region, which will enable the attention and resource concentration in development and economic cooperation.
