President Thaçi received the Defense Minister of Montenegro, Predrag Boškovic

Prishtina, October 23, 2018 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the Defence Minister of Montenegro, Predrag Boškovic.

President Thaçi and Minister Boškovic talked about the bilateral relations and about how they can be expanded through an even better cooperation in the field of security.
 
President Thaçi has informed the Montenegrin Minister about the three draft-laws voted in the Assembly of Kosovo, which transform the Kosovo Security Force into the Army of Kosovo.
 
“The Kosovo Security Force through a gradual process will have the full capacities in coordination with the international community and as such will be in the service of all citizens and will contribute to peace”, said President Thaçi.
 
The Head of State thanked Minister Boškovic for the presence of the Montenegrin soldiers within the mission of KFOR in Kosovo, that according to him “Montenegro is contributing to peace and stability”.
 
At this meeting there was also discussed about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which should end with mutual recognition.
 
The Head of State has said that Montenegro is a good example for Kosovo and the region on the Euro-Atlantic path.
 
Minister Boškovic has assured President Thaçi for the overall support of Montenegro, especially in the Euro-Atlantic integration process.
 
President Thaçi added that Montenegro has made important peace-making decisions in the region over the past two decades.
