Prishtina, February 25th 2019 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the letters of credence of the new non-residential Ambassador of Malaysia to Kosovo, Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino.
President Thaçi congratulated the Malaysian Ambassador on his new tenure and offered his full support towards the expansion of the inter-state cooperation.
“Kosovo and Malaysia can increase the inter-state cooperation in many fields of mutual interest,” said President Thaçi, and added that it is important to also intensify the communications between the two countries.
On the other hand, the Ambassador of Malaysia, Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, pointed out that he shall endeavour towards future increase of the cooperation between Kosovo and Malaysia.
President Thaçi and the Malaysian Ambassador also spoke about Kosovo’s engagement to the strengthening of peace and stability in the western Balkans.
