Prishtina, March 11, 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the credential letters of the non-resident Ambassador of Qatar to Kosovo, Ali bin Hamad Al Marri.
President Thaçi initially congratulated the Ambassador on the new assignment and offered full support in deepening the cooperation between the two countries.
In this meeting there was discussed about the possibilities of increasing economic cooperation and trade exchange, where very soon it is expected to have realization of concrete projects in this field.
“Qatar has supported the Republic of Kosovo in the process of recognition and membership into international organizations. We will always be grateful for this”, said President Thaçi.
On the other hand, Ambassador Ali bin Hamad Al Marri has said that Qatar will always be alongside Kosovo.
President Thaçi has said that Kosovo will soon open its embassy in Doha and this will enable the deepening of cooperation in all areas.
