Prishtina, January 31st 2020 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the falling of heroes Zahir Pajaziti, Hakif Zejnullahu and Edmond Hoxha , paid homage at the statue of Zahir Pajaziti, Hero of Kosovo.
President Thaçi said that today is the anniversary of the heroic falling of one of the legendary commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Zahir Pajaziti, and two of his comrades Edmond Hoxha and Hakif Zejnullahu.
“It is the anniversary of the people who carried on their shoulders the beginnings of the organisation of the Kosovo Liberation Army, this sacred major project of our nation, which brought Kosovo its liberation and independence,” said President Thaçi.
The head of state also said that we honour with highest state respects and with piety the lives and heroic acts of these commanders and of all fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who fell on the war trenches as we do honour the sacrifice of each and every citizen.
“By respecting this sacrifice, we gain the energy for our forthcoming steps towards consolidation of the state of Kosovo, and at the same time to become as faster as possible part of NATO and European Union,” said President Thaçi.
