The head of state also met with the Democratic Senators Gary C. Peters and Robert Menendez, with whom he discussed the Kosovo- USA cooperation.

During his stay in the USA, President Thaçi also had a meeting with Kosovo’s great friend, US Congressman Eliot Engel.

While highly praising his contribution to Kosovo, President Thaçi also said that “Congressman Engel during the last three decades has continuously supported our country in coming to life of its aspirations for liberation, independence and state-building. His support and the support of the USA to Kosovo has been, is and will always remain imperative to our country and our people”.

The President also met with Senator Joni Ernst, whith whom he spoke about the KSF transformation and the necessity of an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.

After the meeting with the Iowa Senator, the President said that “cooperation between our states rightfully demonstrates the strong bond between our two nations”.

On KSF transformation and the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, President Thaçi also spoke with the Republican Senator, Marco Rubio.
