Bratislava, June 7th 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, at the margins of the GlobSec international forum being held in Bratislava, met with the US diplomat Philip Reeker, Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, with whom he discussed the continuation of the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia.
President Thaçi and diplomat Reeker discussed the possibility of the achievement of an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
“It is a difficult process, but I still believe that we can achieve a final comprehensive peace agreement,” said President Thaçi.
On the other hand, Philip Reeker agreed on the need for continuation of dialogue and on the possibility for the reaching of a comprehensive agreement.
President Thaçi emphasized that US engagement in this process is a guarantee for Kosovo.
“US engagement is a trust and a guarantee for Kosovo in the dialogue process,” said President Thaçi.
