President Thaçi met with the Quint Ambassadors and with the Head of the EU Office, thanked them for their support to the dialogue

Prishtina, October 1st 2018 – President Thaçi met today with the Ambassadors of the Quint countries, heads of US, United Kingdom, German, French and Italian Embassies, accompanied by the Head if the EU Office in Prishtina, with whom he discussed the latest developments, with particular emphasis on the issues of dialogue, INTERPOL, KSF and visa liberalisation.

Speaking in relation to the dialogue, President Thaçi welcomed the unified support of the international community to the dialogue and negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia, without prejudice or conditioning of its epilogue.

“I welcome your unified position stating that dialogue is the only way to move forward towards Euro-Atlantic integrations and full normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. The success of this process depends on the political unity in Kosovo and to a considerable amount, to the unity of the Quint Countries”, said President Thaçi.

President Thaçi, also stated that Kosovo is close to finalisation of the INTERPOL membership process and asked for further coordination and engagement “at this final stage of a process important to the security of Kosovo and beyond”.

In relation to visa liberalisation, president said that it is of fundamental importance that there are no delays in reaching of a deserved decision for the citizens of Kosovo.

And in relation to KSF, he added that the process of the changes of three laws extending the KSF mandate has already commenced.

“KSF transformation is an unstoppable, irreversible process, being undertaken with utmost care and in full coordination with our international partners” said President Thaçi.
