Prishtina, March 18, 2020 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Berat Rukiqi, and the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, Arian Zeka, with whom he discussed about the steps to be taken to assist Kosovar employees and businessmen in the circumstances created after the spreading of the COVID-19 virus
President Thaçi stated that the COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge for healthcare, but also for the economy of Kosovo and the entire globe.
“It is important that steps are to be undertaken to preserve the country’s economy”, said President Thaçi.
Presidents Rukiqi and Zeka gave recommendations on how to assist employees and businesses, but also companies that provide services to the citizens in the days and months ahead.
President Thaçi said that the state will undertake measures to assist all those who will be economically affected by the circumstances created by COVID-19.
