President Thaçi meets with the Norwegian Prime Minister; On the eve of the 11th anniversary, appreciative of the Norwegian support

Munich, February 16th – President of the Republic of Kosovo, at the margins of the Munich Security Conference, held a meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg.

President Thaçi thanked Prime Minister Solberg for the support that Norway has provided to Kosovo during the periods of liberty, independence and strengthening of the international subjectivity and economic development.

“Tomorrow we mark the 11th anniversary of the Independence of Kosovo. Owing to the support provided by Norway and by our strategic partners, we have achieved to gain the freedom and independence. We shall be permanently grateful to the support you have also given during our state building period”, said President Thaçi.

On the other hand, Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, congratulated Kosovo on the 11th anniversary of its independence, and offered the continuation of Norwegian support.

The necessity for the normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, through the achievement of a comprehensive and legally binding agreement was also discussed at the meeting.

President Thaçi, under the auspices of the Munich Security Conference held a number of meetings with representatives of various countries of the world.
