Prishtina, May 14th 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, et today with the President of the National democratic Institute (NDI), Derek Mitchel.
President Thaçi thanked him for the support that this organisation has given to Kosovo during the last two decades in democratic development.
“Now, when NDI marks its 20th year of its presence in Kosovo, we are grateful for the support you have given to the processes of democratisation, institution building, in good governance, in the integration and representation of the communities and empowerment of women,” said the President.
The head of state also thanked President Mitchel for the determinant contribution that NDI has given to the organisation of the week of women, empowerment of her role in society and their active participation in decision making.
The President of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), Derek Mitchel, stated that NDI will continue to support Kosovo, with particular support to the Parliament of Kosovo and the Civil Society.
President Thaçi thanked the NDI President for the continuous support to the development and preservation of democratic values in Kosovo.
