Prishtina, March 27, 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the MP of the Parliament of Canada, Borys Wrzesnewskyj, also Chair of the NATO Parliamentary Association in Canada, with whom he talked about the cooperation between Kosovo and Canada, especially in the security sector.
President Thaçi expressed his satisfaction on the fact that Kosovo and Canada this year mark the 10th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and thanked MP Wrzesnewskyj for the continued support that Canada has given to Kosovo.
“We are grateful for the support you have given us at all stages”, stated President Thaçi.
“We are now working to strengthen peace and stability. It is equally important to support Kosovo now as well, especially in its efforts to reach the permanent peace agreement with Serbia and to transform the KSF into a force ready to become a NATO member”, added President Thaçi.
MP Wrzesnewskyj said that he knows the difficult and tragic Kosovo road well and understands the importance of the overall security.
“The development so far of Kosovo in general and the development of the KSF in particular are encouraging”, said MP Wrzesnewskyj.
“It is clear that Kosovo sees the future into NATO and the EU”, concluded President Thaçi.
