President Sejdiu meets President of Slovenia, Danilo Türk

Zagreb, February 18. The President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu met today with the President of Republic of Slovenia, Danilo Türk, with whom he discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and support that this country can provide to Kosovo in the process of its integration into the Euro-Atlantic institutions.

“Republic of Kosovo is committed to meeting the necessary requirements for integration into the European Union and NATO, and Slovenia is a good example of how these requirements can be met”, President Sejdiu emphasized.


In addition to this, President Sejdiu reaffirmed that Slovenia and Kosovo maintain very good relations, so that all the conditions are ripe to boost and intensify the mutual cooperation in all fields of life.


On the other hand, the Slovenian President Danilo Türk assured President Sejdiu that his country will continue to support Kosovo and its aspirations for integration into the Euro-Atlantic community. He also said that Slovenia will foster economic cooperation between the two countries, by encouraging Slovenian businesses to keep on investing in Kosovo.


President Türk also said that his country will engage in ensuring that Kosovo is also included in the visa liberalization process.
