President Osmani traveled for a two-day visit to Estonia

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, traveled today to Estonia at the invitation of the Estonian state authorities and on Thursday begins a two-day visit to this country.

During the two-day stay, President Osmani will have a meeting with the President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid, the President of the Parliament, Jüri Ratas, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, and the Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs, Siim Kallas 

 

President Osmani described the visit to Estonia as a good opportunity to establish cooperation with the country which carries the global primacy for E-government. The second day of the visit will be dedicated to the digital transformation agenda, during which visits will be made to the e-Estonia Briefing Center and Telliskivi Creative City. 

 

At the invitation of President Osmani, the delegation will also include representatives of three companies in the field of innovation from Kosovo: Mërgim Cahani (Gjirafa), Jeta Zagraxha (UCK) and Uranik Begu (ICK). 

 

President Osmani stressed that the visit to Estonia will pave the way for the establishment of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, but also between businesses. According to Mrs. Osmani, Kosovo can benefit from Estonia’s experience in the field of information technology, economy, defense, security, education, health, tourism and cultural exchange 

 

The Republic of Estonia recognized the Republic of Kosovo on February 21, 2008, while diplomatic relations were established from April of the same year.
