President Osmani together with the Minister of Health Vitia visited the Vaccination Center in Prishtina in the “October 1” Hall

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Mr. Arben Vitia, today visited the Vaccination Center in Prishtina, in the “October 1” Hall.

President Osmani said that she is very happy that the process of vaccination of our citizens, especially health personnel, and persons over 80 years of age has begun.

“I want to thank everyone from the medical staff who are organizing this process so well, all those from the first to the last table who are engaged in the registration process, those who are in a state of readiness as paramedics and finally the doctors and nurses or medical technicians who deal directly with the vaccination process”, said President Osmani. She said that it is very important that despite the fact that this process has begun, to continue respecting the protective measures.

“Unfortunately, the number of deaths and infections is large, because as you can see, this third wave has penetrated all of Europe, but also beyond”, admitted the President. She further called for a much greater care by each of us to protect ourselves in the first place, and above all to protect each other. “So to respect the measures, and in the meantime to give time to our institutions, but also to the medical staff to organize the vaccination for everyone. We are working together with the government, in particular with the Ministry of Health, to bring future contingents of vaccines, and here let me make a very special thanks to our international partners with whom we have worked together in order for this first contingent to come, and with whom we are working closely and in particular the government so that the other contingents also come as soon as possible. I assure you that work and commitment will not be lacking at any moment”, emphasized President Osmani.
