The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today at a meeting the former President of the Republic of Croatia Stipe Mesic and the former President of the Republic of Albania, Bamir Topi. President Osmani thanked former Presidents Mesic and Topi for their continued personal engagements in support of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as for the deepening of interstate cooperation between Kosovo, Albania and Croatia.
It was emphasized during the meeting that the close interstate relations between Kosovo, Albania and Croatia are built upon strong historical foundations and traditional mutual respect between the Albanian and Croatian nations.
At the meeting President Osmani stressed the importance of close cooperation between the three countries, in the face of regional and global challenges and in view of the stability and advancement of Euro-Atlantic agendas in the Western Balkans.
President Osmani expressed her confidence that former Presidents Mesic and Topi will continue to be advocates for the Republic of Kosovo in international circles and forums where they participate.
