The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Mr. Bujar Osmani.
At this meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries were praised as excellent. Both sides have expressed readiness to deepen them even further, especially in the field of economy and tourism.
Minister Osmani has stressed that North Macedonia will stand by Kosovo on its European path, expressing support for Kosovo’s membership in NATO and the EU. In this context, he opposed the ideas for the redrawing of borders, emphasizing that the Ohrid Agreement, Kosovo’s independence and the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the region have shown to be successful models.
President Osmani reiterated that such scenarios should be prevented jointly.
“We do not accept ideas that affect our borders and make Kosovo dysfunctional”, said President Osmani.
At the meeting, among others, there was discussed about the situation with the Covoid-19 pandemic in both countries.
President Osmani said that in coordination with the Government they are doing the impossible that together with the international partners to ensure vaccines for the citizens of Kosovo.
