The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of France to Kosovo, Marie-Christine Butel, who congratulated her on her appointment and conveyed the congratulatory letter of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
President Osmani mentioned the need for international solidarity for the realization of the key priority of the new institutions of Kosovo in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the vaccine as soon as possible for all citizens of the country.
President Osmani has requested from the French state to support visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo, taking into account that all criteria related to the visa liberalization process have been met by the institutions of Kosovo.
Ambassador Butel reaffirmed France’s commitment to further cooperation and support, expressing readiness to deepen cooperation in new areas of common interest. President Osmani and Ambassador Butel discussed about the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of rule of law, defense and economy.
President Osmani thanked the Ambassador of France for the support that the French state has provided to the Republic of Kosovo over the years and assured that the strategic orientation of the Republic of Kosovo remains membership in the European Union.
