The President of Kosovo, Dr. Vjosa Osmani met with General Wesley K. Clark, who in
1999 led the NATO air campaign against the Milosevic regime’s military forces.
The President expressed her satisfaction to welcome the friend of Kosovo.
“You symbolize the determination of the democratic world to defend human lives, lives that were being threatened only because they belonged to another ethnicity”, said President Osmani.
According to her, General Clark has the eternal gratitude of the people of Kosovo. “It will never be enough to reiterate our gratitude for what you did for Kosovo in the most difficult moments of its history”, she said.
“Your story about Kosovo must continue to be heard around the world”, said President Osmani.
On the other hand, General Clark expressed satisfaction for returning to Kosovo, where the hospitality and gratitude for him are permanent.
“This country was created thanks to your rebellious spirit and the persistence of the citizens of this country to gain freedom”, said General Clark.
He reiterated his readiness to continue supporting Kosovo as it has done so far.
