President Osmani received at a meeting the Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time the Foreign Minister of Italy Antonio Tajani and the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received at a meeting the Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani, at the same time the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy and the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, with whom she discussed the latest developments in Kosovo related to the dialogue with Serbia.

Kosovo considers Italy as a partner, with whom it aims to expand bilateral relations in many fields stated President Osmani welcoming the idea of the Italian side to organise a joint economic forum between the businesses of the two states.

According to President Osmani, Kosovo has made important steps in the field of justice reforms and implementation of the rule of law. She emphasized that Kosovo is a country with great potential in qualified young people and that it offers a suitable environment for foreign investments.

President Osmani received Italian Deputy Prime Minister Tajani's support on the liberalization of visas as well as in the membership process to the Council of Europe. President Osmani appreciated Italy's contribution within KFOR and emphasized the need for the increase of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense.

Focusing on the recent developments in the country, President Osmani emphasized that the institutions of Kosovo are in coordination with the allies and are making intensive efforts to find an acceptable solution to the license plate issue within the 48-hour deadline.

According to the President, Serbia is trying to destabilize Kosovo through illegal structures in the north of the country.

President Osmani has expressed Kosovo's commitment to peace, security and the rule of law in all corners of the territory of the Republic. In this context, she emphasized that for the success of the dialogue process, equal treatment of the involved parties is required.

Furthermore, President Osmani underlined that the final result of the dialogue should be mutual recognition. In this spirit, President Osmani stressed that the dialogue process should not be allowed to be used as an instrument of Serbia to undermine Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic path.
