The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today at a meeting the
Commander of the NATO Allied Joint Forces in Naples, Admiral Robert P. Burke.
Admiral Burke expressed appreciation and gratitude for Kosovo's readiness to shelter citizens from Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, President Osmani stressed that by recognizing the pain of the Afghan people, Kosovo has opened its doors and hearts.
“This act of the Kosovo institutions is an example which shows who the real NATO allies in the region are. Our goal is for Kosovo to become a member of this military alliance in the future,” said President Osmani.
According to her, the people of Kosovo 22 years ago were helped by NATO and in this context mentioned the significant progress of the state for stability and peace in the region.
