The President of the Republic of Kosovo Mrs. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu received today at a meeting the Auditor General of the Republic of Kosovo Mrs. Vlora Spanca. President Osmani congratulated Mrs. Spanca on her new tenure and wished her lots of success at work.
The President emphasized the important role of the National Audit Office, and encouraged the Auditor General to work towards increasing of transparency and public accountability. The President also stressed the need for fulfilment of the constitutional and legal mandate of the NAO, ensuring that public money is properly managed.
The Auditor-General informed Madam President with the work, activities and challenges faced by the NAO. Mrs. Spanca also provided information on the NAO's cooperation with international audit institutions and organizations and stressed the importance of respecting of local legislation and international practices in the audit process.
