Tirana, June 2nd, 2022 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani Sadriu participated today at the funeral ceremony of the former President of Albania, Bujar Nishani.
President Osmani stated that on behalf of the citizens of Kosovo we bowed before the coffin of the President, the indomitable statesman, the wise and dignified man, the honest citizen and a devoted patriot.
“He remained committed all his life to the Albanian state and nation. “As President of Albania, he always made sure that Kosovo is kept high on his state agenda,” said President Osmani.

Today we said goodbye to the former President of Albania, Bujar Nishani, who passed away days ago.
On behalf of the citizens of Kosovo, we bowed to the coffin of the President, the indomitable statesman, the wise and dignified man, the honest citizen and a devoted patriot.
He remained committed all his life to the Albanian state and nation. As President of Albania, he always made sure that Kosovo is kept high on his state agenda.
The people of Kosovo and its institutions will always remember him with utmost gratitude.
