The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani met with the USAID Administrator Samantha Power, to whom she expressed her gratitude for the contribution of this organization not only for the support given to the Kosovo institutions but also for the provision of assistance in various other areas and sectors.
According to President Osmani, Republic of Kosovo will continue to be a close partner to the USAID and congratulated this organization on the 60th anniversary of its establishment. At the meeting with Ms. Power, President Omani also thanked her for the development Objectives Grant Agreement and the three Amendments, worth more than $ 41 million.
“I am happy that USAID programs are in sync with the developmental plan of the Kosovo institutions. The rule of law is our top priority. “We welcome and support any initiative that strengthens the rule of law, increases public confidence and support for the justice system,” said President Osmani.
Furthermore, President Osmani stressed that Kosovo's greatest potential is its people, especially the youth, and added that women's empowerment, environmental agenda, and projects related to the technology sector are among the top priorities.
She thanked the American state for its continued support provided to Kosovo.
“The Republic of Kosovo and its people will forever be grateful to the United States and its people, who stayed with us at the darkest times and who continue to help us develop and grow,” said the President.
