President Osmani met with the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob BauerThe President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Donika Gërvalla and Minister of Defense Armend Mehaj, during their visit to Canada met with the Chair of the NATO Military Committee Admiral Rob Bauer, to whom she expressed her gratitude for the contribution of the North Atlantic Alliance and KFOR forces during the engagement in Kosovo for more than two decades.
At the meeting with Admiral Bauer President Osmani expressed the readiness of the Kosovo side to further deepen the cooperation with NATO, reiterating the position that Kosovo's membership in this organization is a strategic goal and interest. In this context, she pointed out that KSF is in the process of transformation and achievement of Full Operational Capacities.
"I thank all the armies of friendly countries, above all the American army, which is continuously making sure that KSF is transformed into a professional military force that will join NATO," said President Osmani.
Admiral Bauer mentioned the good cooperation with Kosovo, regarding the sheltering of Afghan citizens in Kosovo. President Osmani noted that Kosovo remains committed to supporting its strategic partners in defense of global peace.
In relation to the dialogue with Serbia, President Osmani once again reiterated the position that this process should end with mutual recognition. But, according to President Osmani, Serbia is playing a destabilizing role in the region, supported by an increasingly negative influence of Russia in the region. For this reason, President Osmani stressed that the international community should condemn such tendencies, as well as the inciting discourse coming from the Serbian side.
