The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani held meetings today with the Minister of Interior Xhelal Sveçla, the Director of the Kosovo Police Samedin Mehmeti, the Director of the KIA Petrit Ajeti, the Minister of Defense Armend Mehaj, the Head of the EULEX Mission Lars Gunnar Wigemark and with KFOR Commander Major General Franco Federici.
President Osmani discussed with all parties the current security situation in the country. President Osmani pointed out that Kosovo is not provoking the security situation, except in enforcing the law, while the Kosovo Police is taking care of the security of all citizens regardless. She praised the work of the Kosovo Police which is demonstrating professionalism in maintaining public order and security.
In this context President Osmani reiterated her position that Serbia is the source of destabilization in the region, calling on the international community to oppose such an attempt, as well as inciting discourse, which has its source not only in Serbia but in Russia as well.
