President Osmani: Justice and investigative bodies should handle the case with urgencyThe President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister Donika Gërvalla and the Minister of Defense Armend Mehaj, visited the citizens who were poisoned and who are being treated at the Family Medicine Center in Deçan.
President Osmani wished a speedy recovery to all of them and asked for clarification of the causes of the poisoning.
She stressed that together with the Government of Kosovo they are ready to provide the utmost in order for Deçan to overcome this situation.
"Both today and during Minister Vitia's visit, it was reconfirmed that the Government of Kosovo will take all measures so that this center is supplied with sufficient medications required to address this situation. "All other sectors involved in the investigation of this case, have also undertaken all the necessary steps," stressed President Osmani.
According to President Osmani, the institutions of justice and investigation, in particular, should treat the case with urgency, as this situation has to deal with the public health of citizens. "As institutions, together with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo, we offered all our support. We offered support to the municipality for any type of need it may have and in particular to MFMC, in facing this situation. "Meanwhile, we hope that all citizens affected by this poisoning will overcome this situation as soon as possible", said President Osmani.
Deputy Prime Minister Gërvalla also stressed that all responsible institutions, including security ones, will be available to return the situation in the municipality of Deçan to normal as soon as possible.
The mayor of Deçan Bashkim Ramosaj, after brifeing on the general situation and the problems they are facing, thanked President Osmani for calling on him and gave her support from the initial moments of the poisoning outbreak. He expressed hope that with the help of central institutions the situation that this municipality is facing will be overcome.
