President Osmani had a conversation with the participants of the 10th edition of Women's Week

The opening conference of the 10th edition of the Week of Women was organized this year under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani- Sadriu.

President Osmani opened this year's edition with a speech through which she addressed the participants emphasizing the importance of inclusiveness in guaranteeing democracy. And on the second day, President Osmani attended a special session where n she had an opportunity to engage in a conversation with the participants of this edition of Women's Week.

On this occasion, in the context of the discussion, democracy was approached from different angles emphasizing that it is never a completed project and that it should never be taken for granted. President Osmani on this occasion as well potentiated that democracy without inclusion is never complete. She also spoke about the importance of continued engagement in the preservation and maintenance of democracy.  President Osmani touched on the importance of empowering and supporting women to guarantee their access to justice, which is also an indicator of the level of development of democracy in the country. While speaking about her experience in politics and her commitment to gender equality and inclusion, President Osmani conveyed a clear message about the importance of telling the story of our country through the prism of women and their historical contribution. She emphasized the importance of the collection of data, personal histories and contributions on and for women through important stages of our country's development.

The participants had a series of questions for President Osmani and the conversation took place in order to identify the modalities and opportunities of engagement of the Office of the President in cooperation with other groups of the society to guarantee gender equality, but also for the integration of other social groups aiming further advancement of the level of democracy in the country.
