The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu decreed today 48 judges upon a proposal of the Judicial Council of Kosovo.
These judges have been decreed with an initial term of three years and will be placed at Basic Courts.
At the swearing-in ceremony in front of the President of the country, the new judges swore the oath that: “they will remain loyal to the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the laws in force and will respect the rules of professional ethics, as well as perform their duties faithfully independently, professionally and impartially.”
President Osmani emphasized that integrity and professionalism should be the basic principle of their work. According to her, young judges should be committed to an independent, uninfluenced and professional justice system, because the rule of law is the basis of the development of the state and society.
