The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani sent a condolence telegram to the Karjagdiu family on the occasion of the passing away of their most beloved, Professor Abdullah Karjagdiu.
The telegram states:
I received the news of the death of one of the first professors of the University of Prishtina, the prominent intellectual, author of many books and literary translator, prof. Abdullah Karjagdiu with the greatest sorrow.
For years prof. Karjagdiu educated many generations, teaching at the department of English language and literature, a department which he also led for several years.
Being one of the best scholars of English and American literature, prof. Karjagdiu brought many literary masterpieces into the Albanian language. At the same time, he was also an activist of the national cause, to which he made an outstanding contribution.
May the memory of prof. Karjagdiu be eternal!
