President Osmani continued her engagements in Panama in promotion of Kosovo's economic potential and to further expand friendly relations

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani during her official visit to Panama held a series of meetings in order to promote the economic potential of Kosovo and further expand friendly relations.

President Osmani met with leaders of various sectors, including the business community, and also met with the diplomatic corps.

President Osmani visited the city of Colon on the Atlantic coast of Panama, where she held meetings with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and the  Manzanillo international terminal. As one of the most important areas of world trade connectivity, the President stressed that the strengthening of interstate cooperation will enable Kosovar businesses easier access to Panama and the entire Latin American region.

At the meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of  Colon, Michael Chen and other representatives of the business community, the joint readiness was confirmed to bring the businesses of the two countries closer and to create new bridges of cooperation and communication.

During her stay in Panama, the President met with Jorge Ramón Arosemena, director of the City of Knowledge, which from an American military base has become a center of innovation, entrepreneurship, art and culture. The President and Director Arosemena agreed to take further steps to increase cooperation with this institution, including educational and cultural exchange. Further, the President informed Mr. Arosemena on Kosovo's potential as a leading country of entrepreneurship, technology and innovation in the region.

The President also met with ambassadors as well as MPs and other representatives of Panama, with whom she discussed the latest developments in our continent and beyond, reiterating that Kosovo remains committed to contributing to peace and stability, and coordinating foreign policy with Kosovo's allies. In conversations with diplomats accredited in Panama and other representatives of Panama, the President underlined the continuous progress of Kosovo, internationally recognized in the trajectory of democracy, individual freedoms, media and commitment to the rule of law.

During the day, the President will also visit the Panama Canal, where she will be accompanied by the Minister for Canal Affairs, Roberto Roy, as well as will meet with representatives of the Panama Chamber of Commerce.

During her official visit to Panama, the President mentioned the economic potential and the common democratic spirit as motivations to further expand interstate cooperation.
