The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has congratulated the American people on the 245th anniversary of independence.
President Osmani said that this day reminds us of the role of this great nation in enlivening our goal to live free and independent.
“The citizens of Kosovo today sense the US Independence Day as their holiday. They pray for the well-being of the American people and congratulate each other on their friendship with them, which, as the historic president of Kosovo, dr. Ibrahim Rugova, used to say ” is eternal”, said President Osmani.

Today, the American people celebrate the 245th anniversary of independence, and we, their friends, celebrate with them because this day reminds us of the role of this great nation in enlivening our goal of living free and independent.
History has shown that in the most difficult moments for our nation, America chose to be the greatest protector and promoter of our rights, standing by us in our struggle for freedom.
Therefore, we Albanians, the amicable nation of the American people, today feel blessed by our friendship with you. This friendship is based on our commitment to freedom, as well as on the common values we share with the American nation.
