The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has reacted as in some regions of Kosovo the situation has been aggravated by fires and this danger has not yet been overcome.
According to the President, the country's institutions are trying at full capacity to reduce the consequences left by fires, but this effort undoubtedly requires the support of our citizens.
“The stubble burning is considered to be one of the main causes of fires, hence citizens should refrain from such actions which cause general danger,” said President Osmani.

Dear citizens,
At a time when extreme temperatures have engulfed our country, the risk of fires has increased tremendously. For several days in some regions of Kosovo, the situation has been aggravated by fires and this danger has not yet been overcome.
The country's institutions are trying at full capacity to reduce the consequences of fires undoubtedly requires the support of our citizens. Firefighters, members of the Kosovo Security Force and members of the Kosovo Police supported by KFOR units are doing the impossible, but we all have a responsibility to increase vigilance to reduce the risk of fires.
Stubble burning is considered to be one of the main causes of fires, hence citizens should refrain from such actions which cause general danger.
Kosovo is our home hence we must all mobilize to protect the environment and the lives of our people.
