The President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu is continuing her official activities within the twentieth edition of the Doha Forum in the State of Qatar at which she is participating upon an invitation of the Emir of Qatar.
The President participated at the opening ceremony of the Forum along with a number of world leaders, which discussed the handling of contemporary challenges in search of innovative solutions. At the beginning of the ceremony, President Osmani was received by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.
The forum was opened by the Emir of Qatar, and continued with a virtual address by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Doha 2022 Forum is being held under the slogan “Transformation for a New Era” and has brought together world leaders, policymakers, researchers and civil society representatives to discuss the steps forward following the pandemic-induced developments in all aspects of life and recent geopolitical issues, including the war in Ukraine.
In addition to activities at the Doha Forum, President Osmani also met with our compatriots who work and operate in Qatar. The President also met with ambassadors of friendly countries accredited in Doha with whom she discussed the latest developments in Kosovo and Europe. The President reiterated Kosovo's commitment to fully harmonize our efforts with our allies. President Osmani will also be meeting with representatives of other countries and will have bilateral meetings with the leaders of the state of Qatar.
