President Osmani and Minister Gërvalla met with the Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference

The President of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani accompanied by the Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Kosovo Donika Gërvalla, met today with the representatives of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, led by the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen.
At the meeting, President Osmani asked for Secretary Al-Othaimeen’s support in securing new recognitions from the member countries of the Islamic Conference, as well as for the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in international organizations.

She underlined Kosovo's readiness to further expand political and economic cooperation with the member states of this organization.

Minister Gërvalla pointed out Kosovo's readiness for cooperation with the countries of the Islamic Conference in various fields, thus deepening bilateral relations with these countries.

Secretary Al-Othaimeen, expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation and underlined the fact that in 2018 he asked the member states of the Islamic Conference, which have not yet recognized Kosovo's independence to do so as soon as possible.

President Osmani added that the repetition of this call to member states would help Kosovo as a state that has gained its freedom and independence after many sacrifices and in full compliance with international law.
