The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Vjosa Osmani – Sadriu, together with the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Glauk Konjufca, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, paid homage and honored the fallen of Koshare, on the 22nd anniversary of the fall.
“We are here today to honor the fallen of Koshare, to honor those who 22 years ago under the leadership of Agim Ramadani, Sali Çekaj and many other war strategists not only broke the border, and removed the stones that were physical obstacles, but also removed the emotional barriers between us, thus bringing life to the bells of freedom that gave hope to all the people of Kosovo’’, said President Osmani.
The President of the country has said that all those who fell in the battle of Koshare, have their foundations today, having built the foundation for our entire state.
“Therefore, even this state that we enjoy today has such a strong foundation, because it has been built on the blood of all the fallen whom we are remembering together today. It is our duty, it is our obligation to those who made the most sublime sacrifice for freedom, to strengthen the state today, to make our state today what all the fallen of the nation dreamed of, and to make it a state with which we will make proud all our citizens who today enjoy the freedom, for which there was sacrificed and given so much effort”, stressed President Osmani.
