Prishtina, 27 March – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, had an honest and open exchange of views with Ambassador of the United States in Kosovo, Mr. Philip Kosnett, in a meeting held today in the Office of the President of Kosovo.
Both, President Thaçi and Ambassador Kosnett expressed the highest respect for the continued efforts of the institutions of Kosovo to fight the COVID-19 threat.
President Thaç noted that the session of the Assembly of Kosovo, held on Wednesday, 25 March, with the vote of no-confidence for the Government of Kosovo in the agenda, confirmed once more the high standard of democracy in our country as well as respect of members of the Assembly of Kosovo for the Constitution and the Laws of Kosovo.
President Thaçi and Ambassador Kosnett agreed that further procedures of forming a new Government of Kosovo should be based fully in the Constitution of Kosovo and agreed the vital role of the Constitutional Court.
President Thaçi reiterated that Kosovo is blessed with the friendship with the USA that is only growing stronger in this difficult time for the both countries.
