President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the Member of the European Parliament and Raporteur for Kosovo at this institution, Ms. Ulrike Lunacek.
President Jahjaga MEP Lunacek discussed the general progress of the Republic of Kosovo towards its European agenda and the Visa Liberalisation process.
President Jahjaga thanked MEP Lunacek for her engagement in securing the approval of the resolution on Kosovo at the European Parliament, which in clear terms emphasizes the European perspective of Kosovo and our region.
Madam President stated that the European agenda is a national agenda which enjoys a wide national consensus and a high level of support by the citizens of Kosovo. She also emphasized the necessity that we must continue to build upon the current successes and stated the dedication and the engagement of the institutions of Kosovo to fulfil all the obligations that will bring Kosovo closer to EU.
MEP Lunacek praised President Jahjaga for her engagement in advancement of the European agenda.
