President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, received today at the meeting the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Andreas Ferrarese, who presented his letters of credence.

President Jahjaga thanked the people and the institutions of Italy for the help they have provided to the citizens and institutions of Kosovo, through their presence in KFOR Peace keeping mission, other international missions, inclusive of EU Rule of Law Mission, EULEX.
Madam President informed Ambassador Ferrarese with the general developments in our country and with the processes which Kosovo is going through towards the realisation of its priority of European integration. She also said that Italy’s help in this process is necessary and will help Kosovo to achieve the necessary standards and fulfil the required criteria.
The extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, Mr. Andreas Ferrarese, expressed the support of the Italian institutions for all the processes which Kosovo is going through, particularly in the field of economic development.
