The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madame Atifete Jahjaga received today the Ambassador of the Republic of France in Kosovo, Mr. Jean François Fitou.
President Jahjaga and Ambassador Fitou discussed about the current developments in Kosovo and in particular about the process of the conclusion of the supervision phase of the independence. Ambassador Fitou stressed that Kosovo and the entire region, has a European perspective and emphasized the necessity of deepening the reforms in the country.
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, said that the conclusion phase of the supervision of the independence marks a success of the institutions and citizens of Kosovo and the international community. She said that Kosovo an independent and sovereign state must have a clarified European path and praised the beginning of the dialogue on visas.
President Jahjaga said that the contractual relationship with the EU would help Kosovo on the path of European integrations. She said that the dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia with EU mediation must provide European solutions which must be guaranteed by the European Union.
