President Jahjaga received the 2013 Kosovo Progress Report from Samuel Zbogar

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today the 2013 Kosovo Progress Report of the European Commission, presented by the European Union’s Special Representative to Kosovo, Mr. Samuel Zbogar, report which presents in detail the general progress achieved by Kosovo and reforms which our country has undertaken on its EU membership path.

Head of the EU Office in Prishtina, Mr. Zbogar, praised the report on Kosovo’s Progress as a very good one, classifying it as a compilation of the work of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and as a guideline for the enlargement of the reforms. Mr. Zbogar also said that Progress Report has praised the engagements of the National Council on European Integration, lead by the Madam President, on the building of the national consensus.

President Jahjaga welcomed the European Commission’s Report on Kosovo, stating that she is satisfied with the achievements this year, in lieu of the European agenda and expressed the dedication of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens to address in a more serious manner the priorities identified in the Report.

Madam President also said that the help and support of the European Union on the process of reforms, especially in the field of rule of law is necessary and needed.

President of the Republic of Kosovo also welcomed the decision of the European Commission to launch negotiations on Stabilisation Association Agreement with Kosovo on October 28th, aimed to be concluded by spring nest year.
