(Flags of Kosovo on the streets of Budapest, in honor of the visit of President Jahjaga)
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, who is staying on a state visit to Hungary with the invitation of President Pál Schmitt, on the first day of her visit she has met the Mayor of Budapest, Mr. Istvan Tarlos.
At a working dinner, in a long and friendly conversation, President Jahjaga stressed that Hungary is a friend country of Kosovo, which has supported our country in all periods. She also stressed that Hungary is one of the countries that recognized Kosovo’s independence very soon and has contributed to various missions within our country.
President Jahjaga said that Kosovo needs continuous support in the way of European integration in which Hungary is giving a major contribution.
She said that Kosovo can benefit from the experiences of the organization of the capital city from Budapest and raised the need for closer cooperation between Prishtina and the Hungarian capital.
For his part, the mayor of Budapest, Mr. Istvan Tarlos said he admires the path that the population of Kosovo has followed to independence and now in the construction of the democratic state.
He expressed the readiness for cooperation with the capital of Kosovo, in order to exchange experiences, but also to assist him in carrying out projects for the benefit of the citizens.
President Jahjaga and mayor Tarlos also discussed about a range of important topics.

Kosovo flags in honor of the visit of President Jahjaga
In honor of the visit of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga in Budapest, in the Hungarian capital, many flags of Kosovo are placed. Besides in the hotel where the President of Kosovo is accommodated, the flags of our country have also been placed in the main square of Budapest, Deak Square, in other central parts of the city and on the road leading from the airport to Budapest.
