President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, during her stay in Germany, attended today the second-day proceedings of the Munich Security Conference. The key-note speech at this second day of the conference, held for the 49th time in Munich, will be delivered by the US Vice-President, Mr. Joseph Biden.
During the conference, president Jahjaga met with a number of personalities from around the world that are attending the Munich Security Conference. Among others, she met with the EU High Representative for foreign policy and security, Baroness Ashton, President of the Swiss Confederation, Mr. Ueli Maurer, OSCE General Secretary, Mr. Lamberto Zannier, Former NATO General Secretary Mr. Javier Solana, US Congresswoman and Director of the Woodrow Wilson Centre, Ms. Jane Harman, former deputy UN mediator for Kosovo, Mr. Albert Rohan and many others.
On the second day of proceedings of the Munich Security Conference, the issue of Euro-Atlantic Security was discussed. After the key-note speech delivered by Mr. Biden, the conference was addressed by the German Foreign Minister, Mr. Guido Westerwelle, Baroness Catherine Ashton, the Russian Foreign Minister, Mr. Sergey Lavrov and NATO General Secretary, Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
