The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga has approved the Regulation on the types of decorations which are awarded by the President of Kosovo and the procedures of their issuance.
The approval of the Regulation was made pursuant to Article 84, item 28 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, and pursuant to Article 5 of the Law no. 04/L-070 on the Granting of Decorations.
According to this regulation, the decorations awarded by the President of Kosovo shall include:
The order Hero of Kosovo; The order of Liberty; The order of Independence; The order Freedom Fighter “Adem Jashari”; The order for Peace, Democracy and Humanism “Dr. Ibrahim Rugova”; The Humanitarian Medal “Mother Teresa”; The Medal of Peace and Reconciliation “Anton Çetta”; The Presidential Medal for Merits (Education, Science, Culture, Youth, Sport, Security, and Civil Service); The Military Medal for Service in Kosovo; The Award for Innovation, Research and Development and the title Ambassador of Honour of Kosovo.
