PRESIDENT BIDEN DONATES VACCINES TO KOSOVO

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani has announced that President Biden has donated vaccines for Kosovo.

She further said that on March 19, 2021, she wrote to President Biden requesting for the support of the United States for the donation of vaccines at a time when Kosovo was the only country in Europe that had not yet begun their administration.

“On April 19, 2021, President Biden responded positively in which he pledged to address our request for vaccines. Today, we are happy to announce that President Biden, on behalf of the USA, has decided to donate a significant number of COVID-19 vaccines to the Republic of Kosovo”, said the President.

Below is the full post of President Osmani:

On March 19, 2021 I have written to President Biden requesting for the support of the United States for the donation of vaccines at a time when Kosovo was the only country in Europe that had not yet begun their administration. On April 19, 2021, President Biden responded positively in which he pledged to address our request for vaccines. Today, we are happy to announce that President Biden, on behalf of the USA, has decided to donate a significant number of COVID-19 vaccines to the Republic of Kosovo.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to President Biden for this generous gesture and for the donation of COVID-19 vaccines to the Republic of Kosovo following the request addressed to him in March. Today’s official announcement is another proof of the unwavering support that our country has historically enjoyed from the United States of America.

President Biden has always been a friend of Kosovo and this donation illustrates the unsparing care and consideration he continues to show to our people. On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, I cordially thank him.

Kosovo and our institutions continue to remain steadfast in the Euro-Atlantic orientation and have followed the same policy in the provision of the vaccines as well.

God bless Kosovo and our ally, the United States of America.
