The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga returned today from the official visit to Brussels.
During this visit, President Jahjaga met with Mr. Stefan Fule, the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, with Mrs. Catherine Ashton, EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, with Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, with Mr. Jerzy Buzek, European Parliament President, and Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, NATO Secretary General.
Also, President Atifete Jahjaga spoke at the Foreign Affairs Commission of the European Parliament, where the representatives of the Delegation for Southeastern Europe were present, hosted a dinner for a group of MEPs of all political forces of the European Parliament, and visited Kosovo’s embassy in Brussels.
This is the first time that a reception is hosted at the highest official level in the EU for a leader of Kosovo thus indicating, as was said by the hosts, the commitment of the EU institutions for Kosovo and the support for President Jahjaga.
