President Atifete Jahjaga received the new Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the USA, Akan Ismaili

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga received today the the new Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the United States of America, Mr. Akan Ismaili.

At the meeting, present was also the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Enver Hoxhaj.

President Atifete Jahjaga spoke about the very good relations between Kosovo and the United States of America, for the assistance and support that the American government and people have given and continue to give to Kosovo and commissioned the Ambassador to work with dedication that these relations to advance and developed in the interest of both countries.

On this occasion President Jahjaga forwarded the most cordial wishes to the President of the United States, Barack Obama.

Ambassador Akan Ismaili assumes office as permanent plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in the United States replacing the Ambassador to date, Mr. Avni Spahiu, who was decreed on a new assignment.
